Delete your Tendpaw account

1. Before you delete: cancel a paid plan

A plan bought through the App Store or Google Play keeps renewing until you cancel it in the store. Deleting the App or your Tendpaw account does not cancel it.

On an iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Tendpaw → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tendpaw → Cancel subscription.

A cancelled plan still has paid time left, but that time ends when the account is deleted: to use the rest of the period you paid for, delete the account after it ends.

A lifetime plan belongs to the account and ends when it's deleted. You may not be able to get it back on a new account.

2. Delete in the App

Open Tendpaw, tap the Account icon at the top right → Settings → Delete my account. In versions before 2.0: the Me tab → Settings → Delete my account. The account is deleted as soon as you confirm.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, the App may ask you to sign in once more so it can revoke the linked identity.

3. Delete without the App

Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete account” and give the email address of your Tendpaw account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, that is the email of that Google or Apple account; with Apple's “Hide My Email”, the address ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com.

We email that address itself: a confirmation code if a Tendpaw account uses it, or a note that no account does. The deletion code has 8 letters and digits, like ABCD-EFGH, unlike the 6-digit sign-in code. Send it, with the DR-… reference from the email, only to [email protected], within 7 days; if the code has expired, tell [email protected] and we will send a new one. If you didn't ask for deletion, ignore the email and send the code to no one.

We only delete once the account's owner sends the code: this protects the account from requests by anyone else. If you can no longer read the account's mailbox, we can't delete by email; if you can still sign in to the App (with Google or Apple too), delete it there.

We reply within 2 working days. Once we have the code, we delete the account within 14 days of your request at the latest, then email you.

4. What is deleted and what is kept

At once: the account is anonymized; pets, health logs, AI assistant chats, photos and files are deleted or anonymized; every session ends; a Google or Apple sign-in linked to Tendpaw is deleted too.

We keep some records, without your name or email, tied only to an anonymous number, as the Privacy Policy says: payment, purchase and usage records (to reconcile with the stores, up to 10 years); the AI activity log (up to 5 years); visit requests to clinics (up to 5 years); the record of the deletion request (reference, dates, result; up to 2 years); audit records.

What was sent to OpenAI or DeepSeek to produce an answer is held by those providers under their own terms; Tendpaw cannot delete those copies; a clinic that received your visit request keeps its own copy too. Our backups expire after 90 days at most.

5. After deletion

If you signed in with Apple: to stop Tendpaw using your Apple ID, go to Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Tendpaw → Stop Using Apple ID.

You can create a new account with the same email, but old data is not linked to the new account. Details in the Privacy Policy: tendpaw.com/en/app-privacy.
